early 1940's vintage american industrial machine age streamlined chrome plated tubular steel "pax soap dispenser" designed and patented by george h. packwood jr., for the g.h. packwood mfg. co., st. louis, mo. the wall-mount soap dispenser contains a large cylindrical vessel or reservoir used in conjunction with pax brand soap. the washroom dispenser has a unique viewing portal to identify the level of soap remaining. the detachable cap or cover slides off with ease. the integrated mounting bracket contains multiple holes for mounting purposes. the vertically reciprocable plunger that carries the valve member is intact. very sleek and simple design. measures 4 1/2 diameter x 10 h inches
