19th century antique american victorian era full-sized salvaged chicago solid cherry wood fireplace mantel likely fabricated by chas. f. lorenzen & co., chicago, ills. the fanciful interior residential mantel features partially fluted columns with ornate capitals. the trimwork consists mostly of bead and reel found around the edges of the mirror opening and firebox. the 1890's fireplace mantel is in good condition, considering age.
