late 19th century freestanding antique american victorian era cast iron newel post and wrought iron railing fabricated by the dearborn foundry company, chicago, ills. the salvaged chicago ornamental ironwork consists of a straight rail with newel post. the handrail is comprised of steel pipe with flange on one end for mounting against the building. the railing and newel post have a nicely weathered and worn painted finish.
