c. 1930's american depression-era freestanding four-legged angled steel factory machine shop stool designed and fabricated by the angled steel stool company, plainwell, mich. the unusually tall stationary stool contains a nicely worn and weathered red paint finish, discolored from prolonged exposure to a factory workshop environment. the stool is reinforced by a multitude of riveted joint stretchers that provide added support and stability. the distinctive inward-turned ball feet are characteristic of stool fabricated by the angled steel stool company. base diameter measures 17 inches, seat height measures 35 1/2 inches, seat diameter measures 13 inches.
