matching set of exceptional late 19th century all original museum quality ornamental wrought iron commercial or residential building fireplace andirons designed and executed by the winslow brothers, chicago, ills. the custom-built salvaged chicago andirons retain the original finish throughout. the twisted wrought iron crossbar is original and intact. the freestanding andirons are likely from a prominent chicago residence or building demolished long ago. the antique american andirons have been used in several decorative art museum exhibits.
