two matching all original c. 1930's antique american industrial cast iron machine shop workbench bases designed and fabricated by or for the general electric co., schenectady, ny. the brushed metal bases feature a highly unique and visually distinctive "ge" monogrammed logo and/or medallion between the flared feet or floor plates. the incredibly heavy duty solid iron legs have been sealed with a clear coat lacquer. salvaged from a massive general electric assembly plant demolished long ago. the monogrammed logo has changed little since inception. the original monogrammed circular logo was trademarked on september 18, 1900. priced for the pair. measures approximately 30 x 30 3/4 inches.
