set of early 20th century ornamental cast iron copper-plated interior residential passage door backplates possibly fabricated by the barrows hardware company. the oval-shaped doorknob backplates contain fluted thimbles or collars and single skeleton keyholes. the two mounting holes are found in the center of each floral rosette. surface wear consistent with age. priced for the pair. measure 7 1/4 x 2 1/2 inches.
