all original 19th century american eastlake style ornamental cast brass "bamboo" pattern interior residential shutter butt hinges designed and fabricated by branford lock works, branford, ct. the three decorative hinges were salvaged from the extant david c. cook mansion, located in elgin, il. the fully functional hinges have been refinished with a dark enameled inlay added to accentuate the casting detail. the knuckles show very little wear and pivot with ease. measure 2 x 1 1/2 inches. priced for the lot.
