original american made c. 1930's industrial four-legged low-lying angled steel factory machine shop stool designed and fabricated by the angle steel stool co., plainwell, mi. the brushed metal stool contains a heavy gauge pressed and folded circular-shaped seat with perforations emanating from the center. the stool contains the distinctive inward turned ball feet used almost exclusively on the angled steel stools. the bare metal finish has been treated with a clear coat lacquer to prevent surface corrosion. the angle steel stool company was founded in 1910 by charles pipp and john linsey. originally located in otsego, mi., the owners chose to move their busniess to plainwell, mich., in 1922. the industrial furniture fabricator operated well into the 20th century. measures approximately 13 x 13 x 19 1/2 inches.
