very unique late 1930's american antique industrial cast iron pig iron ingot molding tray designed and patented by elmer h. hosteler of los angeles, ca. the long and narrow iron foundry tray was fabricated by or for the intertype corporation, brooklyn, ny. the refinished tray was salvaged from the peterson printing factory located outside of chicago. contains a deeply recessed single compartment tray with oversized curved handle.
