original antique american interior residential pocket or sliding door mortise lock with intact oxidized copper-plated finish over an unornamented faceplate. the mortise lock was designed and fabricated by the p. & f. corbin co., new britain, ct. the matching door jamb strike plate (used in conjunction with the "finger" lock actuated by a key) contains the same desirable finish. the box is comprised of cast iron with intact "jet black" enameled finish. priced for the set. measures approximately 1 x 3 1/4 x 7 1/2 inches.
