original antique american industrial freestanding american made victorian era saloon table base designed and fabricated by the phoenix iron foundry, cincinnati, oh. the ornamented cast iron base features a multifaceted or octagonal pedestal with multiple lightly embossed manufacturer markings. the tapered and stepped weighted floor plate contains pre-drilled holes for anchoring into the floor for added stability. the saloon or bar table base has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the structurally sound and solid saloon base was likely fabricated in the late 1890's. base diameter measures at 18 inches, base height measures at 29 inches.
