well-maintained all original and completely intact c. 1890's varnished oak wood interior residential fireplace mantel salvaged from a chicago residence undergoing demolition. the varnished oak wood mantel was likely fabricated by the hinze & baker company, chicago, ills. the half-mantel contains two matching opposed fluted columns with decorative three-sided capitals. the frieze features a beaded border. the shelf and jambs are structurally sound and in great overall condition. the salvaged chicago antique american victorian fireplace mantel exhibits a dazzling quartered oak wood finish. The mantel measures 60 x 12 x 48. The firebox is 42 x 36
