original late 19th or early 20th century heavy gauge steel or rolled iron "ceylon" pattern interior residential passage door plates salvaged from a chicago three-flat undergoing demolition. the antique american doorknob backplates were fabricated by the p.f. corbin company, new britain, ct. the refinished ornamental backplates are in good overall condition, considering age. priced for the lot.
