hard to find all original late 19th century interior residential cast iron victorian era fireplace gas insert designed and fabricated by the dawson brothers company, chicago, ills. the late 19th century insert is comprised of cast iron with pressed and folded steel back housing the gas jets. the salvaged chicago fireplace gas insert measures 24 1/2 x 30 1/4 inches. salvaged from a late 19th century chicago residence.
