highly detailed early 20th century american ornamental cast iron interior residential doorknob backplate possibly fabricated by the reading hardware co., reading, pa. the passage door backplate contains a single keyhole, two screw holes and a protruding wrought steel collar or thimble. traces of the original copper-plated finish remains intact. measures approximately 6 x 1 3/4 inches. only one available.
