original and hard to find all original 19th century antique american gasolier or electrolier light fixture ceiling canopy with intact highly desirable oxidized copper-plated finish over spun yellow brass. the tapered dome-shaped ceiling canopy was designed and fabricated by the faries mfg. co., decatur, ills. the nicely aged and patinated light fixture component retains the original set screw used to secure the canopy against the "stem" or pipe.
