matching set of late 19th century salvaged chicago ornamental cast iron exterior residential freestanding newel posts fabricated by the reder foundry company, chicago, ills. the black enameled metal newels with pyramidal-shaped tops have a nicely aged patina. the 1880s cast iron newels were salvaged from a chicago residence undergoing renovation. priced for the pair. 28 inches tall and 3 inches wide/deep. Base is 6 1/2 inches.
