completely refurbished c. 1918-25 antique american industrial versatile task lamp comprised largely of spun yellow brass metal with lighly polished finish. the weighted base is comprised of cast iron with baseplate containing a small opening for the lamp cord. the tilting half-dome shade is supported by two bent brass straps mounted around the underside of the stationary socket. the adjustable lamp contains a large patented ball joint with original adjustable wing nut. the "no.3174" portable lamp was fabricated by the faries mfg. co., decatur, il. the lamp can be mounted on the wall or placed on a desk, etc.
