hard to find original 1880s salvaged chicago copper-plated cast iron residential surface door rimlock with matching keeper

c. 1880's american antique horizontal rimlock or "box" knob lock made of cast iron with original copper plating largely intact. features raised abstract floral design on either side of the reversible lock. a privacy or "night" latch is found on the bottom of the lock unit. the dead bolt and latch are made of cast brass. the cast iron hub is in great working order. possibly fabricated by the penn hardware co., reading, pa. the original ornamental keeper in included.
