intact antique late nineteenth century vibrant light green glass utility jar dug from a chicago dumpsite. the slim, tapering jar has bulbous shoulders and an applied wide neck that forms a ridge at the shoulder, and is finished with a single ring collar. the unembossed, unmarked bottle exhibits no indication of maker or contents. likely contained ink or household goods. crudities are typical of its age and date of manufacture, including bubbles, whittling and minor surface wear. in good condition, no breakage or chips.
