unique and hard to find original 19th century antique american "roman head" figural residential doorknob with original metallic gold enameled finish. the banded edge doorknob is comprised of cast bronze metal. the face of the knob contains an encircled soldier or warrior profile with intricately designed helmet. the surrounding border consists of a repeating floral motif with banded edge. the antique american doorknob was likely fabricated around 1882-85.
