original early american medical freestanding hospital operating room supply cabinet fabricated around 1913-17 by the frank s. betz company, hammond, ind. the stationary storage cabinet is comprised largely of heavy gauge cold-rolled furniture sheet steel. the exceptional cabriole style legs are made of cast iron. the single lockable cabinet door contains a functional barrel lock and key. the loose pin hinges are original and in working order. the cabinet interior contains a white enameled finish. the three removable plate glass shelves are supported by fixed welded joint steel brackets. the folded steel undershelf is tightly affixed to each leg. the cabinet exterior contains a brushed metal finish, treated with a clear coat lacquer. excellent overall condition. measures 20 1/4 x 15 x 53 inches.
