all original early 20th century cold-rolled steel single-piece "maxolite" industrial pendant light reflector or shade designed and fabricated by or for the central electric company, chicago, il. the heavy gauge steel shade with a "shallow bowl" profile retains the original deep cobalt blue porcelain or vitreous enameled finish. the white reflective underside remains in good condition, considering age. the "maxolite" shades or reflectors were distributed through the central electric company to factories across the country throughout the first half of the 20th century. measures approximately 6 inches high with a 14 inch diameter.
