original c. 1910-15 american antique freestanding medical supply cabinet salvaged from the old cook county hospital, chicago, il. the brushed metal cabinet is comprised largely of folded and pressed heavy gauge "furniture" sheet steel with original fanciful cast iron cabriole style legs with pad feet. the supply cabinet contains clear glass sidelights and single hinges door with unusual oversized surface mount box lock comprised of brass. the original white enameled interior remains in great shape, considering age. contains a total of four adjustable plate glass shelves. the bottom portion of the cabinet contains a single pull-out drawer and drop-down hinged door with brass pulls intact. fabricated by the columbus aseptic furniture co., columbus, oh.
