group of three matching hard to find early 20th century american industrial cast iron garment hooks designed specifically for use with the "expanded metal type" steel factory lockers designed and fabricated by the federal steel fixture co., chicago, il. each double-hook contains two outswept prongs with ball finials. the centrally located hole accommodated a horizontal tubular steel pipe for hanging additional clothing. the hooks were typically mounted on each end (i.e., sides) of the locker. the hooks contain an old metallic silver paint with area of the original olive green enameled finish exposed from general wear and tear. priced for the lot of three. limited quantity available. the hooks were removed from badly damaged lockers found in the recently shuttered paxton-mitchell railroad steam engine component foundry and assembly plant. each one measures approximately 6 inches wide and sits approximately 1 inch from the base.
