highly sought after salvaged chicago oversized early 20th century interior residential solid oak wood multi-pane ceiling or stairwell skylight likely designed and fabricated by the foster-munger company, chicago, ills. the antique american mission style sky light contains panes comprised largely of pebbled texture to diffuse the sunlight. the reinforced rooftop skylight with panes of "chicken wire" glass was salvaged shortly before demolition. the wood muntins are heavily reinforced. the massive rectangular-shaped oak wood skylight was salvaged from a two-story chicago house constructed in 1909. measures 36 x 1 1/2 x 60 inches.
