well-maintained vintage american industrial adjustable height factory machine shop stool. likely fabricated by the adjusto equipment co., bowling green, oh. features a heavy gauge, bent tubular steel frame with original gunship gray enameled finish largely intact. the saddle seat and slightly contoured tilting backrest are made of a lightly varnished maple wood. the central telescoping support or spindle contains equally-spaced notches designed for locking the spring-loaded lever into position. the welded joint footrest doubles as a four-sided stretcher for added support and stability. when fully extended, the stool measures 29 1/2 inches.
