late 1920's intact american antique industrial four-legged adjustable height factory machine shop stool designed and fabricated by the angle steel stool co., inc., otsego, mich. the durable stool is comprised largely of reinforced heavy gauge angled steel that has been brushed and sanded to bare metal. a clear coat lacquer has been added to prevent surface corrosion. the factory machinist stool retains the original solid oak wood circular-shaped seat with a nicely worn finish. the largely intact and slightyl contoured oak wood backrest is supported by two flat steel bars mounted along the underside of the seat. the adjustable extensions with several closely spaced pre-drilled holes are designed to achieve desired height. base measures 14 inches, seat height measures 24 inches, with backrest at 37 inches, seat diameter measures 13 1/2 inches.
