original 19th century american victorian-era majolica burnt orange-glazed presentation tile measures 10 inches in size. the intact and seldom found figural or scenic tile is deeply embossed with allover crazing evident. the tile was fabricated by the american encaustic tile company, zanesville, oh. the backside contains a lightly incised fabricator stamp.
