all original and intact early 1930's american art deco streamlined style interior residential gas heater or fireplace grate likely designed and fabricated by the general gas light co., kalamazoo, mi. the original richly designed ceramic heat radiating element are completely intact. the fender and base are comprised of folded and pressed heavy gauge steel with chrome plated finish accentuated with baked black enamel straight lines. minor surface pitting evident. measures 27 1/2 inches l x 10 inches w x 18 inches h. span of back legs is 20 inches. width of heater basket alone is 6 3/4 inches.
