original american vintage industrial freestanding cast iron "otis elevator controller" motor plaque fabricated by or for the otis elevator co., new york city, ny. the long and narrow single-sided plaque was salvaged from a chicago factory building engine room. the lightly incised yellow brass plaque containing motor specifications was removed long ago. the angled back elevator sign has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. measures 18 x 2 1/2 inches.
