early 20th century original single-sided cast iron "american radiator company" commercial building basement boiler name plaque with opposed mounting holes

single late 19th or early 20th century original brushed cast iron single-sided long and narrow commercial building name plaque designed and fabricated by or for the american radiator company, chicago, il. the rounded corner name plaque was removed from a chicago turn of the century commercial building basement boiler prior to the heating device being scrapped. the surface mount plaque contains two opposed screw holes for mounting purposes. the fanciful embossed lettering is crisp with very little wear evident. the plaque has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer.
