early american ornamental cast bronze oversized store door handle salvaged from a chicago dry goods store demolished long ago. the solid decorative bronze thumblatch handle is replete with a leaf & dart border, anthemions or palmettes and foilated scrollwork. the fully functional handle contains an il-rubbed metallic bronze enameled finish used to enhance the casting detail. possibly fabricated by reading or the p. & f. corbin company. measures 15 x 3 inches.
