early 1920's american medical stationary hospital operating room workstation with bent tubular steel legs retaining the original foot pads

original vintage american medical cold-rolled furniture sheet steel four-legged workstation or side table salvaged from michael reese hospital (chicago, il). the brushed metal table contains two equally-sized pull-out drawers with original pressed steel handles. the four tubular steel legs with original hardened black rubber foot pads are structurally sound and sturdy. the compact medical desk contains welded joint steel rod stretchers with an open-ended front for legroom (if used as a desk). the vintage hospital furniture piece was fabricated by max wocher & sons co., cincinnati, oh. measures 35 1/2 x 19 1/2 x 31 inches.
