original and intact c. 1940's vintage american industrial freestanding double-sided chicago post office mail sort workstation or desk designed and fabricated by terrell's equipment co., grand rapids, mi. the oversized and/or towering cabinet's compartments can be accessed from from either side of the open ends. a detachable divider can easily be removed to create compartments with uninterrupted space running from one side to the other. the compartments contain a red paint finish that contrasts nicely against the brushed metal. the four tubular square-shaped legs are structurally sound and stable. great overall condition. measures 25 x 25 x 74 3/4 inches.
