heavy duty refinished c. 1920's american industrial freestanding brushed cast iron "dillon" buffer or grinder machine base fabricated by or for the dillon electric co., canton, oh. the old iron machine base contains a rough-cut pine wood block bolted tightly in place. the uniquely-shaped tapered and flared pedestal base contains opposed floor plates with pre-drilled holes for mounting against the floor. the bare metal finish has been treated with a clear coat lacquer.
