original ornamental cast iron elevator finial salvaged from jenney and mundie's 12-story davis or morton building (1896) during renovation when converted into hotel. the neoclassical style diminutive finial is comprised of cast iron with brushed metal finish. the extant morton building was completed in 1896 by jenney and mundie.
