late 19490's custom-built american industrial heavy gauge tubular steel three-legged machine stand salvaged from a recently shuttered specialty metal office furniture factory, located in chicago, il. the robust industrial base originally contained a telescoping arm with platform. the threaded end t-handle secured the tubular arm at the desired height. mostly uniform brushed metal finish treated with a clear coat lacquer.
