original late 1930's american vintage medical streamlined style interior hospital examination or operating room supply cabinet manufactured by the frank s. betz co., hammond, ind. salvaged from an old invalid asylum located in pennsylvania. the cabinet is comprised largely of heavy gauge furniture sheet steel with an incredibly heavy raised edge cast iron cabinet top with porcelain enameled "sanitary" finish. the cabinet interior contains two folded and pressed removable shelves original to he cabinet. the off-white interior finish is mostly intact. the hinged cabinet door with clear glass pane retains the original faceted glass knob pull. the "dummy" drawer above, contains the same glass knob pull. the blunted cabriole legs are structurally sound and stable. the solidly-built cabinet measures 17 1/2 x 13 1/2 x 33 1/2 inches.
