original condition, nicely distressed interlocking three-unit freestanding original late 1930's or early 1940's american vintage industrial "gf" transfer filing cabinet designed and fabricated by the general fireproofing company, youngstown, oh. the cold-rolled pressed and folded steel self-contained filing cabinet contains a very faint gray enameled finish with sporadic rust evident. the desirable "as found" surface patina has been lightly cleaned. each spacious sliding cabinet drawer contains a riveted joint stamped steel handle and placard holder. the angled steel frames wrapped around the front and rear sides of the cabinets are secured tightly in place. lightly embossed manufacturer markings are stamped on each filing door. priced for the three interconnected units. measures 13 1/8 x 25 x 38 1/4 inches.
