largely unornamented c. 1920's american antique "madison" pattern interior commercial building backplate fabricated by the sargent hardware company. the brushed metal iron doorknob backplates contains a protruding thimble and four screw holes for mounting purposes. uniform surface patina. measures approximately 9 x 2 1/2 inches.
