original early 20th century antique american industrial rock hard maple and birch wood freestanding carpenter's bench designed and fabricated by the c. christiansen company, chicago, il. the four-legged base is reinforced with mortise and tenon joints with distinctive through-wedged tenons. the workbench retains the original single pull-out drawer with angled wood handles and a spacious interior. the nicely worn solid maple wood contains a deeply recessed tool tray and dog holes found on the left side of the tabletop. the workbench has been refinished with a high build clear coat lacquer. great overall condition. 53 inches x 22 inches x 32 inches.
