original 19th century american black enameled ornamental cast iron summer cover surround designed and fabricated by the peerless mfg. co., louisville, ky. the victorian era surround features multiple neoclassical design motifs in the form of anthemions, rosettes, foliated scrollwork and flame finial torches. the black paint finish is mostly uniform throughout. measures 30 x 24 inches.
