original c. 1910-20 american vintage industrial fanciful cast iron drafting table replacement leg or base designed and fabricated by the eugene dietzgen co., principal factory, chicago. the flared cabriole style leg has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. manufacturer markings are prominently displayed along the front in the form of deeply embossed lettering. the leg contains multiple holes for use with stretcher rods. measures 25 x 15 x 1 inches.
