american industrial custom-built factory machine light with an all-welded joint four-legged stand supporting an adjustable benjamin deep bowl reflector

fully functional salvaged chicago industrial freestanding adjustable floor lamp used near a massive gear hopping machine in a dimly-lit factory located in chicago. the fixture contains a deep bowl style benjamin turned or spun metal reflector or shade with an adjustable cast iron ball-joint bracket affixed to the socket housing. the oversized lamp head was designed and fabricated by the benjamin electric mfg. co., chicago, il. the all-welded joint custom built telescoping stand contains a crude t-handle for adjusting the lamp's height. the fixture has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. great working condition. dates to the 1930's. measures 28 x 28 x 45 inches. 12.5 inches diameter.
