thoroughly cleaned and refinished c. 1930's american industrial freestanding factory foreman storongbox salvaged from a recently shuttered specialty metal office furniture factory located on the west side of chicago. the unusual custom-built lockable cabinet is comprised of all-welded angled iron and sheet steel. the two primitive hinges and oversized slide bolt were fashioned by hand. the four-legged angled iron base contains welded joint steel circular disc "feet" for added stability. the brushed metal finish has been treated with a clear coat finish. measures 20 x 20 x 35 inches.
