well-worn american industrial medium-sized hand held factory strainer basket possibly fabricated by the union steel products co., albion, mi. the portable metal basket consists of wire mesh supported by a bent galvanized steel frame with riveted joints. an oversized bent steel rod drop handle is original to the basket. wear and tear consistent with age. found in an old chicago area tool & die factory complex. measures 6 1/2 inches in height x 8 1/2 inches in diameter.
