originally and remarkably intact 19th century antique american solid cast brass interior residential lavatory integrated double "hot" and "cold" faucet handles sink or shower valve unit designed and fabricated by james b. clow & sons, chicago, ill. the fanciful turned and tapered handles with ball finials feature distinctive and fanciful lightly incised lettering. the spigot likely contained a hose or some other removable attachment. the threaded fittings retain the original circular-shaped rosettes or backplates for mounting flush against the wall. the victorian era plumbing device likely was fabricated between 1885-1890. the cast brass has a uniform finish throughout. measures 9 1/2 x 5 x 6 inches.
