c. 1940's original vintage american medical upright storage cabinet salvaged from a chicago area hospital examination room. the completely refinished hospital storage cabinet is comprised of cold-rolled pressed and folded steel that has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the cabinet contains a hinged cabinet door with intact clear glass pane, handle and lock. the single sliding drawer and bottom cabinet door retains the original circular-shaped chrome plated handles. the medical cabinet was designed and fabricated by the united metal fabricators inc., johnstown, pa. the original manufacturer label is found along the backside near the very top of the cabinet. measures 19 1/2 x 15 3/4 x 64 inches.
